I am a blogger, a new mom, a newlywed wife to my incredible husband, and a follower of Jesus. I love my sweet overexcited pug and my lap cat—though they both add an extra dose of crazy to our home. I absolutely love to read, and to share what I have struggled with as a new mommy in the hope of helping others.
When my husband and I found out that we were expecting a bundle of joy, we knew I had to quit my job to be a stay-at-home mom. My career was inflexible, I worked odd hours, and after researching child care—we discovered that it would cost almost ALL of my paycheck just for childcare. If that wasn’t enough motivation, I knew that God was calling me to be a stay-at-home mom.
But we didn’t know how to do it. We were absolutely panicked about how we could be able to afford this child. I was so overwhelmed by the fear that I could not afford to take care of my own child that my hair literally started falling out. We gave it all up to God, reorganized our life and our budget, and I was able to quit my full time job to be a stay-at-home mom just in time for our little one’s birthday. I want to help other parents find peace in knowing it is possible for them to do the same.
